Went to The Hedgehog for Christmas Day dinner. The staff especially Adam, i think his name was, was very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Food was absolutely faultless and the place is stunning. Highly recommend a visit.

Sunday roasts here are yummy and with good portions. Service is excellent and shout out to Chloe, our table server and the bar staff who have impeccable manners!

Atmosphere was friendly and buoyant. Service was friendly and helpful (though fairly light touch) service charge on the bill came as a surprise and felt disproportionate.
Food could have been better for the price. I had 10oz ribeye steak with a side of green vegetables. Steak was medium rare as requested but otherwise poorly cooked - under/unseasoned and no crust. Chips were excellent, perfectly cooked. Cherry tomatoes also roasted nicely. Green beans, peas and tender-stem broccoli were overcooked and had a dry yet mushy texture. Béarnaise lacked flavour - no freshness or sharpness from the herbs or vinegar. Good choice of ales and Pinot Noir was excellent.
All in all a pleasant, atmospheric place to spend an evening, but food
needs more consistent quality on such an expensive meal.

I visited for a business coffee meet up. And was instantly impressed by the tasteful decor for an vintage building.
I could smell the fire burning 🔥 and promptly found some seating nearby.
As for my drink? I went for a an oat milk chai latte. Vegans are catered for here, which is wonderful for me.
And my drink was served with all that I would expect from this lovely establishmment. With politeness, a smile and pleasant conversation.
Will definitely be coming back here to for a meal for sure.

Food was ‘ok’ under-delivering against some descriptions. Beware of the sprigs of rosemary - they break off and make thorns to get stuck in your throat.
The way our large party was accommodated was good
The the serving staff were well presented and courteous but the guy who met us behind the bar was rude.

Lovely lunch today. Relaxed atmosphere, the food was plentiful and delicious and the service friendly and efficient. Thank you all, but particularly Katie, for a lovely afternoon.
